A History of Violence

Written by John Wagner
Illustrated by Vince Locke

Tom McKenna is an average family man living in a small town in Middle America. Reluctantly, McKenna receives national media attention after thwarting an attempted robbery of his diner by a group of wanted murderers.

Through media coverage, McKenna’s instant local hero status comes to the attention of John Torrino, a one-eyed aging mafia hitman from New York. Due to a mistaken identity, Torrino believes McKenna’s real name is Joey, an old rival with whom he has an axe to grind because of a rift between them twenty years earlier.
As mobsters descend on his small town, McKenna must reassess his own history of violence while protecting his family in this enthralling story of crime and violence.
